Feeding Program
Overview
Premier Pediatric Therapy Source’s Multidisciplinary Feeding Program will help to evaluate all possible causes of your child’s feeding difficulty, including oral motor skills, sensory development, and nutrition. Our program is comprised of Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and a Registered Dietitian, which allows for a more comprehensive look at your child’s needs.
Our outpatient feeding program is composed of Licensed Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and a Registered Dietitian who are experienced and trained in treating a variety of feeding disorders and concerns. Roles of the professionals within our feeding program: • Our Speech-language pathologists will evaluate your child’s ability to safely drink, chew, and swallow a variety of foods and liquids Our feeding team is trained in evaluating and treating feeding and nutrition difficulties. We see a wide range of conditions and will work with you to determine the best course of treatment. You might seek a feeding evaluation for your child if you have concerns regarding: We believe in using a family-centered approach to care and will work closely with your family to support carryover at home and continued progress. Our feeding program consists of 2 sessions per week for 12 weeks, for a total of 24 sessions. Our therapists will work to develop an individualized feeding program for your child and sessions will be held with one of our Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and/or Registered Dietitian. We offer the following services to address your child’s needs: Treatment can be provided at our clinic or via Telehealth.Feeding Program
Feeding Team
• Our Occupational therapists will evaluate your child’s positioning, posture, strength, sensory processing, and self-regulation while feeding.
• Our Registered Dietitian will evaluate your child’s growth, food/liquid intake, and nutritional needs.
