Requirements to Become a Volunteer
- Be at least 18 years old
- Complete an online application
- Interview with a PPTS team member
- Provide a personal or professional reference for a reference check
- Complete an online background check
- Provide proof of COVID vaccination (minimum first 2 vaccinations)
- Provide negative TB Test results within the last 12 months
- Complete onsite orientation and training
- Ability to commit to the minimum number of hours and duration for the volunteer opportunity in which you’re applying
- Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, bend and squat safely and comfortably in addition to push, pull and occasionally lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.

Steps to Becoming a Volunteer
Complete Online Application
All applicants must meet all requirements to be eligible to volunteer. Please include a resume or letter of recommendation if applying for a volunteer opportunity. If you are applying for student observation hours, please include an official letter from the college, university, or education program with the observation requirements.
Interview with a Team Member
Once we receive and review your application, an interview will be scheduled with one of our team members. Following the interview, applicants must pass a background check and show proof of COVID vaccination status and a Negative TB Test. If the volunteer opportunity in which you've applied has reached it maximum capacity or is out of season, you will be contacted within 7-10 business days and provided with alternative options to consider.
Orientation and Training
Applicants approved for a volunteer opportunity will be required to participate in orientation and training prior to the scheduled start date.
